Does Your Dishwasher Match Your Cabinets?

At my house, the kitchen cabinets, fridge, and dishwasher all have the same facing. What's it like at your home?

I'm not that rich.

Stainless steel appliances. The appliances match each other, not the cabinets. I think this is okay or matching.

I don't have a dishwasher, but I've always liked this. When I went to Germany, all the homes had this in their kitchens!

I'm just happy to have a dishwasher :) But, it is a very sleek look to have the dishwasher blend in with the cabinets. One day when I own a home, I hope to have it set up like that :)

Yes, my dishwasher has the same facing as my cabinets. So do the fridges. I love the look.

I don't think I would want mine to match... it would be kinda of creepy? haha I don't know why I think that.. I guess it would just be boring and weird. I prefer black appliances, or stainless is nice too

I wish I had that, but I don't. I can't imagine living without a dishwasher again; it makes life so much easier.

Mine doesn't match - thank God! My cabinets are horrid, and will be replaced soon...but my dishwasher is sleek stainless.

I couldn't live without my dishwasher. I HATE to do dishes.

Sort of. I'm considering removing my dishwasher, and converting it to more cabinet space (one cannot have too much storage space, I believe). We'll see.

Hiho-- It probably depends on where in the country you are, and how many people will be living in your house (i.e. is it a single- or double-occupancy condo or will you be selling to a family of 4 or 5), but I would think you'll be cutting back significantly on your potential buyers if they come in and see a kitchen (big selling point of the house) and find it lacks a major built-in appliance they consider necessary.

I don't have one either, but if I did, I would rather have it match my other stainless steel appliances.

Haha, the first two people to vote so far don't have a dishwasher. :-P Unless I can count my dog as a dishwasher. PS--We are going to sell our house in the next year or two, and I'm wondering if not having a dishwasher is a big disadvantage?
