New York City-based artist Don Oehl creates illustrations that effortlessly blend haute couture, street fashion, and graffiti. Oehl, who first studied dance at the Chicago Academy For the Performing Arts before moving to Paris to study drawing and painting at the Ecole du Louvre, has worked in New York City for the past 16 years. There, he's created window displays for clients including Clinique, Aveda, and Bergdorf Goodman as well as worked in publishing for magazines like Seventeen, Elle and Domino.
You can check out Don Oehl's fabulous illustrations in person from Sept. 8 to Oct. 9 at Clic Gallery. For now, see how I think his artwork can change the feel — and add fashionable appeal — to eight already-lovely rooms.
