Ebay Hosting Charity Auction of Mad Men Furniture

Mad Men Furniture Is on the Auction Block

What would you give to get cozy in Don Draper's office? No, really . . . what would you give? Mad Men has teamed up with eBay to host a charity auction of the show's furniture, running now through Aug. 22. If the price is right, the creative director's dapper desk could really be yours. The sale includes a variety of vintage '60s furniture and props including desks, sofas, tables, credenzas, and chairs from the set of the Sterling Cooper ad agency. Now that the team has moved into their swanky new Sterling Cooper Draper Pryce office, it's no longer needed! Ten percent of proceeds from the auction benefit City of Hope cancer center.
Some notable lots are the infamous settee in Pete Campbell's office where he and Peggy Olson, well, fornicated; the abstract modern painting in the Sterling Cooper conference room; Campbell's turntable and a collection of 20 '60s records; and there's even a walk-on role in Mad Men season five to bid on! My only complaint is that I don't see any fully-stocked bar carts with gilded glassware up on the auction block.
