Tucked away in the Georgian woodlands just 30 minutes from Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, is the 2012 HGTV Green Home. The house, designed as a modern family farmhouse, is part of a 1,000-acre sustainable community known as Serenbe. Focused on the merits of green building, organic farming, and smart environmental practices, the community straddles a lifestyle that meshes old-fashioned bucolic ideals with modern luxuries and green technology. The result is an impossibly charming, utopian society of sorts comprised of private residential homes, commercial space, art galleries, quaint shops, stables, superb restaurants, and of course, the enchanting 20-room Inn at Serenbe.

There were so many incredible details throughout the home that I decided to compile shots of my favorite rooms and combine them with tricks I learned from the HGTV Green Home creators.
