Friends of mine on the East Coast have been uploading picture upon picture of gorgeous Autumn leaves. Whether underfoot or on the maples, oaks, and birch trees in their neighborhoods, the colors are always shockingly warm and beautiful. While the leaves do turn here in the Bay Area of California, they're not nearly as dramatic. To get my rich-color Fall fix, I'm turning to some brilliantly hued home decor pieces I've been coveting.
Of the rich red hue, my current favorite is the West Elm Dipped Side Table ($130, top right). With solid wood legs that have been partially finished in a lacquer gloss, this would be a great bedside or side table. Or, try West Elm's suggestion and turn it into a coffee table by grouping it in multiples.
In the yellow shade, I'm in favor of an easy and affordable Fall-colored addition in the form of the FermLiving Small Winebottle Candleholder in Yellow ($30, middle row, middle right). Made of turned wood and painted a pretty golden-yellow shade, it will add warmth to a dining table or mantel.
When it comes to the oranges, I'm inspired by the Hans Wegner Wishbone Chair (on sale for $730, bottom row, right). Now available in a range of colors, including orange, the classic design is perfectly poppy in its new color.
