My friend Heather recently shared this photo of her "pumpkined" front yard on her Facebook page, and it was too cute not to pass on to CasaSugar readers. Heather reports that in the middle of the night, her dad arranged dozens of small pumpkins in their front yard, so when her boys woke up the next morning, they were surprised to find their yard mysteriously filled with the orange fruit. She writes, "The boys and I were so excited to see all of the pumpkins when we woke up. Grandpa, or Bappa as we call him, had purchased them at the Amish's produce auction. He always loves to surprise us. Pumpkins are my absolute fave, so this is better than flowers any day."
While some households might get toilet papered this Halloween (in fact, if memory serves, Heather and I might have done some TPing of our own back in our high school days), this lucky family gets to experience a much lovelier front yard scene. As Heather noted about her dad, "He definitely wins the best grandpa/dad of the year award in my book."
This seems like such a sweet Halloween prank to play on a favorite friend or family member. Have you ever done anything similar to someone you love?
