How Old Is Your House or Building?

Some people love living in old houses and apartment buildings, while others enjoy the ease of newer constructions. Do you live in a modern house or an older building?

Our home is about 15 years old, but it's designed to look old, stone walls and everything. We love old homes, but we wanted a home with an old feel, modern conveniences and modern room sizes.

no idea - this apartment is probably at least 20 years old, but who knows?! i envy people with really old homes - the ones in canada aren't generally older than from the 1950s - usually just from the 1970s although there are of course some older ones around.

We just built our house 2 years ago. it's the first time we're enjoying new construction and I really like it. The older homes are nice but also expensive to maintain. I enjoy that everything right now is under warranty.

My mothers house and the house I grew up in was built in the 40's. I live in a house that my Husband and I built 2 years ago. I love both, but love the established trees that only older neighborhoods here have to offer.

I love the feel of an older home ... they have character. But, I hate the expense that usually comes with it - replacing this, fixing that.

wow! i am suprised how many of you live in really old houses. my house was built in the 70's, but i plan on buildinga new house (my own design) in a couple of years. i absolutely love architecture and homes. but thats only half the fun. the other half is putting all my junk in it!

Just under 100 years old. My friend used to live in a big farmhouse which had parts of the building dating as far back as 500 years ago! but she always said that strange things used to happen and she was sure it was haunted :(

Other. We have a 132 year old house that we have owned for almost 3 years and a 2.5 year old house that we bought about 2 months ago. We have our 132 year old house up for sale.

20-50. My grandpa built it when my dad was like 10 or so, I forget the exact year. It's a little small and dated now though I want to move into a large old colonial home.

My apartment is old and semi-dilapidated...but it has character! It's probably about 100 years old.

about 75-100 years old -- the city records are spotty -- and it's been a trial, but i love it.

My building is 200 years old. It was built in 1807 and served as a factory here in Nashville. We still have the original wood floors and ceilings. It's beautiful!!!

Our home was built in the mid 70s, and I would love a newer one. Say mid 90s early 2000s, but not new. The new homes in this area have little to no land.
