A spa-like bathroom can be spoiled with a few rings of rust. These nasty circles appear easily, but are difficult to remove and are especially partial to porous natural stones such as marble, limestone, and even granite. It seems that many personal care products are trending toward using non-metal materials that won't rust, but my husband's trusty shaving cream has yet to make the switch. So, instead of begging him to switch brands, I use this simple trick for keeping my counter tops rust-free: just take the can, turn it upside down, swipe a coat or two of clear nail polish along the bottom rim — then stand it on its cap to dry. Once the polish has dried entirely, turn it right side up, and kiss any future rust stains goodbye.
