How Would You . . .

I am a big fan of fountains, Moroccan style, and tilework, so how could I resist showing you this fountain? This Moroccan wall fountain ($1250) would look stunning in an outdoor setting. However, I'm not interested in its use as a garden or courtyard element. If you'll remember from the last few How Would You posts, that's not how this Casa post works. Instead, I'm asking you to think outside the home-decorating box and find alternate uses for traditional home accents and furniture pieces.

How would you adapt this wall fountain so it's used in an unusual way? Leave a comment below and let me know where you'd put or how you'd uniquely use this fountain your home.

I like rivrchild's vanity idea. But you could just mount it into the wall so the bottom center would be open. So perfect for a vanity.

read my mind...use it at the entry way!

I don't like it, even for outside. It's just too.. all over there, the pattern just repeats too much for me. but I think it would be pretty if you put one of those cherub sprouting water statues for the middle of the fountain.

I might flip it upside-down, mount it the up high on the wall of an entry way, and wire it for lighting. A Noguchi paper shade hung down from the center with a little table beneath would be lovely! (My dad says, "Use it as a urinal!" - He's joking, or course.)

Depending on how big it is, I would switch out the hardware and use it in a mudroom to rinse off boots, etc.

I agree with Pacific a bathroom sink, or a small fish pond inside.

I'd take the lion head off of the back piece, put in some functional hardware and use it as a sink in the kitchen!

I like the entry-way table idea. But I would try it in a similar way as a vanity in a bedroom. Put a mirror in the center, a glass-top for surface, and pair a couple of small white dressers on either side. Though it might be hard to sit at seeing as the bottom center isn't open ...

It's not really my style, but I think it would look very nice in an outdoor garden seating area.

I don't know, there are a plethora of ideas! It's almost difficult to think of how this sink WOULDN'T look stunning in any setting

It would always look good with a little flowering plant in there - something with pink or purple flowers? I love KateDavis' idea, however, of turning it into an entry way table - and if you make the table out of something solid (a rustic plank of wood?), you could use the reservoir for storage.

If you changed out the hardware it would make a great bathroom sink.

How about a living room/day room. A real open setting that has lots of windows to an outdoor courtyard. If you have an awesome blue/white lunge and no fireplace b/c you live you know in the desert like me! having that as a wall item would give me an excuse to have a mantel again!

I love AliCherri1's idea and I would put a piece of glass over the fountain opening so I could use it as a table in the entryway. Maybe put a small bronze tray on it to hold keys.
