Love It or Hate It? Forensics Pillows

New York-based design house Lost City makes these hand-embroidered Forensics Pillows ($308-324), inspired by the study of crime scene evidence. I could definitely see them in the coveted crib of Dexter Morgan, but there's no way I'd ever put them in my home. How about you?

The first one is really cool and something I would be willing to put in my home if it wasn't so danged expensive! Maybe I'll try and make something like it. The fingerprint image doesn't appeal to me, oddly enough since the chapter on fingerprints was one of my favorite bits of Criminology. Oh hey, think maybe it would be better if it were a whole mess of fingerprints rather than one enormous one? Hmm. Don't like the last one.. the "drips" just don't speak to me - guess it's too much like messy polka dots.

I think they're fabulous and unique - that is what our blood and DNA make us. These pieces are beautiful but serve more of a symbolic purpose. Look deeper...

I could totally see myself putting these in my home...maybe not if I was a housewife with young children, because that's creepy...but right now I'm single and live alone. And my favorite show is Forensic Files on trutv. I feel like my friends would all get a kick out of it if I had these pillows in my home.

I like the blood splatter one, don't care for the thumbprint and the spotted one just reminds me of having a bloody nose.

I actually like them even though they are morbid. Still, I would never pay those prices for them.

Ugh... too morbid for my living room!

the idea is so creepy but I kind of love them (and I hate anything morbid)...

I agree. Dexter would love those pillows!

The fingerprint one is OK. If I was gonna do a black and white themed room, I might use it. But the blood-spattered ones are weird and creepy.
