Love It or Hate It? Halve Bookends

I spotted these goldfish-filled Halve Bookends ($60) on PointClickHome, and was amused by the way they'd been styled for the photo shoot. Of course, you can fill these glass pieces with anything you want, from stones to fresh cut flowers, but I have to say, I prefer the goldfish.

Yep, not with the goldfish. But with everything else (yes, lifeless things), great!

I agree with you ladies, this is a cruel idea. The idea that goldfish can live happily in little jars of water is ridiculous. Guarantee they won't survive.

Hate it with the goldfish! Much too small and boring a space for a goldfish. Kinda cruel. Love it with other things in them.

I love it! ... at least until I realized that this looks like the saddest story in the world... the two fish are so close to each other, and yet can never be together. :(

kpelli - i agree i'd be really scared that the books would fall over :( maybe if you just had little books, like the beatrix potter ones this would be fine! also - there's not much room for the fishies :( is that mean? even though they'll forget in 3.5 seconds or whatever it is!! do love it though :)

Love the goldfish, but I would be a bit scared...books fall over sometimes and if that happened it would be bye bye fishies :(
