Love It or Hate It? Porcupine Quill Mirror

Do you have a prickly persona? Maybe you just appreciate some sharp accent pieces in your home? Then perhaps the Janice Minor Porcupine Quill Mirror ($539.90) is just what you're looking for. I'd consider avoiding this, though, if you live with a) children; or b) anyone the least bit clumsy.

No worries, most likely no animals were harmed in the making of this interesting piece. :) The African Porcupine drops lots of quills every day. I volunteered at the local zoo for a few years, and they had a couple of these porcupines. I'd go into the cage to clean and take a broom to discourage the momma from backing into me!! I still have a couple of the quills somewhere. One of my friends liked making pens with them (since they're hollow and open at one end, you could just put a Bic pen inside) or using them as hair sticks! They are really sharp so this mirror would have to be somewhere out of the way... :D

I kind of love it, but not if animals had to suffer for it. Nay way!
