Love It or Hate It? Seletti Chemistry Vase

A few years ago, I stumbled across a chemistry beaker at a flea market, and I've been using it as a bud vase ever since. Apparently, I'm not the only one who loves the look of delicate flowers stored in a sterile lab icon: Check out this Seletti Chemistry Vase ($35) and tell me what you think.

As a chemistry major - love the idea - it appeals to my science nerd pride - BUT I don't think I'd put it in a house. Too lab-ish for me. I see them too often in a lab to pay that much for one and to decorate my house with them.

I like it, but I do not like the price. I could prabably get enough beakers and flasks to outfit my entire apartment from a science supply store for the same price as that one vase.

after spending a good chunk of my college days in lab classes, i absolutely love these. however, i have quite a few vases that are empty 99% of them time.

Too overdone.
Tari007 Tari007 8 years I use these at work on a daily basis. I don't need to make my house look just like my lab!

i like this but not the price tag. you can go to a teacher store and purchase a simple flask for way cheaper.

as a pharmacy major (aka almost-chemistry major), i LOVE the idea, lol!

It's alright. I wouldn't mind vases shaped like that but without all the markings, although for some that's the purpose of it.

It's a cute idea but it's not something I would use in my house. Maybe as a gift for your science teacher or something. I like more elegant things.

Having worked in labs too long, I like it, but I have seen better old vintage beakers and prefer those in amber color or frosted glass... and I would definitely swipe one from the lab (maybe a cracked one) before I shelled out $35!

i'm glad they aren't charging $862973528 for something you could get in just about any science classromm anywhere.

It reminds me of working in the lab... a job I don't exactly miss. The science geek in me likes it, but I wouldn't want it sitting on my table.
