Marisa Marcantonio's Holiday Must Haves

Tastemakers' Holiday Must Haves: Marisa Marcantonio

With design credentials that include art history scholar, shelter glossy contributor, brand consultant, blogger, and more, it's hard to say where Marisa Marcantonio will pop up next. You may have spotted her contributions in Lonny magazine's October issue or perhaps recognized her as the face behind Editor at Large's video interviews, but her most personal connection to the industry is her interior-design blog Stylebeat, which she launched in 2007 and updates daily. Because she is a multifaceted style expert, we were curious to discover what the holidays look and feel like at her home. Keep reading to find out the holiday traditions Marisa can't do without and the gifts she's dying to give and receive this season!

My go-to holiday centerpiece is: Red amaryllis in terra cotta pots with mossy covering down the center of the table.

A stylish gift I'm coveting this year is: A Zoe Bios Creative Watercolor Print from the Agnes series.

In turn, I'm dying to gift: Miles Redd's new book, The Big Book of Chic.

During the holidays, my house smells like: Dyptique's Pomander Candle — the easy way to channel oranges studded with cloves without having to make them.

My gift-wrapping essential is: Red grosgrain ribbon and decorative details to add into the tied bow. Red berries on stems, brass sleigh bells, and candy canes from Jamali Garden floral supply store always come in handy to create something extra special.

My holiday playlist includes: Frank Sinatra and Bing Crosby on a constant loop.

My holiday party must have is: Gleaming silver bowls for nuts, candy, and other small bites. They provide a little shimmer and don't have to be costly. Pottery Barn always has them around this time of year.

The one essential element of my holiday decor is: To create a festive air, I love fresh wreaths of holly and greenery. My mom is amazing at making French pastry, and she makes a Buche de Noël every year and adds fresh holly sprigs. It has always been that green element that means holiday to me.
