Reading Condé Nast Traveler's 2011 Gold List of the best hotels in the world, I was turned on to Hotel Murano in Tacoma, WA. From the showstopping Venetian chandelier from Murano in the lobby to custom-blown glass lamps in the suites, the hotel, which is blocks from the Museum of Glass, is known for its statement-making glass art pieces. While the glass is gorgeous, the accessories that I can't take my eyes off are the sprightly velvet appliqué pillows in the bedrooms and sitting areas. The pillows are made by Swedish design duo Adam & Viktoria, and are available at one of my favorite shops, Lisa Fontanarosa. Their gorgeous patterns and pre-Raphaelite colors are inspired by vintage wallpapers and Oriental rugs. Adam & Viktoria also create equally stunning screens, furniture, and other textiles. Stunning, right? I'd love to have a few of my own!
