I've already polled you about what your favorite wallpaper company is this year, so it's too late to add another contender to the list. But if it weren't, I'd certainly include The Wallpaper Collective in the mix. Founded by New Yorker Cindy Weil, the retailer carries more than 500 wallcoverings by a dozen or so designers which normally would only be sold "to the trade" (i.e. to interior designers), and most at below-retail prices. The fanfare for wallpaper is certainly on the rise, and more artists are taking it up as a medium, so it's nice to have more companies offering papers to us commoners. The only trouble is that with prices ranging from $220-260, the shop's inventory doesn't seem to be so wallet-friendly.
