Nick Olsen's Nolita NYC Apartment Makeover

Before and After: Nick Olsen's Glam NYC Apartment

I have a major crush on interior designer Nick Olsen . . . there's a stroke of genius in everything he does, and as silly as it sounds, he makes me want to lead a more stylish life. So when I saw his new apartment featured in the new issue of Lonny — especially after swooning over his last coveted crib — I was nothing short of inspired. Nick recently posted photos of the dump in Nolita that he moved into, and it's really shocking how he's turned it around into a truly glamorous space. He says two people were living in his one-bedroom in complete squalor before fleeing it and leaving it in a true state of disrepair. Can you believe two years later it would be featured in a magazine? You'd better believe it. Want to see the after photo?

Ta-da! There's no shortage of style here! His landlord was actually nice enough to allow him to do some renovations, as well as some awesome things like painting the floorboards. You can take the full tour of Nick's decorated apartment in the new issue of Lonny, and see more before photos of the apartment on Nick's truly wonderful blog.

The before picture was bad, but I don't really like the after either. It's nice to look at, but I wouldn't want to live there. I actually loved the floors before. (Although, I'll admit, everything else obviously needed work!)
