CasaSugar reader mscc recently posted a query in the Assisted Living group, wondering about some photo wallpaper images she'd spotted on Home by Novogratz. She writes:
"I just finished watching Home by Novogratz, where the Novogratzes remodeled a basement. I loved the collage of family photos that they used as wallpaper on the focal wall. Does anyone know where I can get this made? Cortney Novogratz wrote in her blog post, "This is a super easy project you can create online using one photo or a collage of photos for about $10 per square foot" . . . but she didn't say where! Apparently, they said in an interview that they used a NYC-based company called Duggal, but one look at their website overwhelmed me. (It looks like it's geared toward printing professionals and not DIYers.) Does anyone know where I can order this online? I was hoping for an easy-to-use website that's geared toward consumers and not home decorating or printing professionals."
Mscc, I asked the Novogratzes to identify an easier place to source the project, and they recommended that homeowners take their photos to big-box retailers like Staples and have large-format prints made that can be used as wallpaper.
Additionally, I've had friends use Copy Central to print large-format photographs in sections, which brings the cost of the print down significantly. Then, they've used an adhesive to secure these sections on foam-core mounts, which they then hung and mounted on a wall in their home.
I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any more questions.
