A Seriously Charming Vintage Christmas Tree DIY

We're big fans of the shabby-chic look, and there's something sentimental about the vintage-influenced style that works especially well for the holidays. Wildflowers & Pistols blogger Heather nailed the look (literally and figuratively) when she put together this pallet wood Christmas tree. She shared her DIY on Hometalk, and we were beyond impressed to see how easily the project came together. With only a handful of super affordable supplies, she created this charming holiday decor. Get an overview of the project in the slideshow here, and check out the full tutorial on Hometalk.

Supplies

Heather used vintage-inspired floral-print paper napkins, Mod Podge, cute buttons, and some wood boards salvaged from a pallet to create the Christmas tree.

Heather disassembled a pallet she already had to salvage the wood. She cut the upcycled wood planks down to the size she wanted and secured them together with small screws.

After using Mod Podge to attach the napkins, she super glued the buttons across the tree like ornaments and attached cutout stars to the top. Imagine all the different ways you could customize the ornamentation on your own tree!
