Photo of Emma Stone on Bed With Dog in Easy A

Do You Allow Pets on Your Bed?

This past weekend, I, along with most of Berkeley's teen population, saw Easy A. Starring one of my favorite young actresses, Emma Stone, as Olive Pendergast, the film was thoroughly adorable. I especially enjoyed Olive's scenes at home with her family. Here, she's hanging with her dog on her bed (later she paints the dog's toenails: cute). Do you lounge with your pets on your bed, too, or is that something that's only acceptable on the big screen?

Sea Bass is allowed on our bed, but one time I found a pawprint in poop at the foot of the bed, after he had obviously had a mishap in the litter box. That disgusted me and gave me misgivings about letting him up there. Then again, he's a cat and we work all day, so I don't know how I'd stop him. Now I just keep an eye out for anything unsavory on the sheets.

My Boxer Abu was always welcome, but since he passed and I have taken in a stray male cat named Thomas, no cannnot alow him on my bed, alergic to cats. Tried to but besides being alergic, I have an issue with the crazy thing patting my face when I am sound to sleep. He is nuetered and totally declawd a wonderful companion with tons of character, but would drive me crazy to sleep with. it breaks my heart when he stands outside my door and cries to get in. But I also know if I let him in then he would want play time about 3 am. No way!

I would let my dog up in the bed, but my boyfriend is against it. So he sleeps in his crate :(

No, the dog is only allowed in the living room, hall and kitchen. She sheds quite a bit, and I hate getting hair everywhere. I have a baby, so we're constantly on the floor with her, though...

No, they allow me on what they think is their bed ;) We have three cats so at least one is sleeping/ cuddling with us on the bed.

Yes, but our dogs have to stay on my side of the bed. My husband is OK with them being in the bed only if they don't encroach on his space. Both dogs understand this and stay by my feet and legs all night. We have two mini doxies so they're little and I like having them near me.

when she was a baby we used to cuddle with her. We'd wake up with her biting us wanting to get off the high, queen sized bed. Lol. But now she's a huge labrador retriever, so no.

My sheets are covered in cat hair, but I don't mind. It's worth it to have my cat snuggling next to me when we go to sleep. :) (I have two cats, but the other one chooses to sleep elsewhere).

The cats used to sleep in our bed, but I didn't sleep well: I couldn't move with one cat on top of me and couldn't breathe with the other cat on my face... So they were moved out before we even got the dog and the third cat.

I only have a full size bed so if the boyfriend is not spending the night...the pugs can sleep with me. If he's over one sleeps on my floor the other sleeps in a crate.

I love my dogs, but don't appreciate the hair they leave in the bed.
