The King's Speech is running away with Oscar nominations, and if its considerable buzz wasn't enough to tempt me to hit the theaters, Colin Firth and Helena Bonham Carter's starring roles are certainly sealing the deal. The movie's also full of historical detail eye candy, including this shot of Bonham Carter, playing Queen Elizabeth, pouring a traditional English tea in a matching traditional English room. When sourcing pieces for this scene, I added a few updates, including trading out the fuddy-duddy table lamp for Anthropologie's Coal Flower Table Lamp ($90), which recreates the original's scalloped-edge lampshade while modernizing it in a matte black finish. Another integral element is the fireplace mantel.
