Poll on Anthropologie Axel Three-Seater

Love It or Hate It? Axel Three-Seater

I recently spotted the Axel Three-Seater on Anthropologie's website. Made of recycled jute sacks, this wheel-like design, according to Anthropologie, "simultaneously provides the togetherness of a sofa and the solitude of a chair."

I love it conceptually, and I think it might work great in a lounge or cafe, but I can't imagine it in a home. Can you?

Wow! I never thought I would see this again. This piece is not cool and totally off. I saw a design like this a few years ago at a film producers house in LA by a designer named Despina. The fabric is off - the original concept works, this one doesn't! how come people have to try to remake everything uglier?

I like them, but not for a home. At least mine. I always see them in hotels.

I really love the design, but I just can't think of a single place, even in a coffee shop, where that would be practical. I think I'm obsessed with aiming furniture at things, like a tv or fireplace, or a stage or something in a cafe, and this just hurts my brain since you can't aim it at something.

Hah as much as I love triskeles.. I don't think I'd want to sit with someone's back to me at all times.

I'm kind of torn! It wouldn't work for something like watching TV, obviously, but for curling up and reading together while still having your own space...it could be cool.

Yeah, definitely in a coffee shop. Definitely not at home.
