I'm no Bob Ross, but I've got a painting tip that almost any DIY gal can appreciate. While tape may be most often used for sealing moldings or floorboards, the sticky stuff can also lend a hand for the painting apparatus. If you're using a polyester roller, they can carry tufts of the fluffy stuff that you don't want to end up on your walls. Instead of fishing them out and having to roll over that spot again, take a preemptive strike and de-lint the roller with some of your spare tape. It will save you from fix-ups and should guarantee a smooth spread on the wall.
