Save It Don't Ditch It!

Here's a post from CasaSugar Community member h2urHome from the Su Casa group:

One of the first things I purchased when my husband and I bought our new house last Spring was a steal of a deal at the Salvation Army.  Here's a picture of our comfy but oh so ugly chair!

I didn't do anything with the chair for awhile because I wasn't quite sure how I was going to decorate the living room. It's months later and truth be told I still don't have an idea of what to do with the living room but I was tired of looking at the ugly chair.  I decided to have the chair recovered in a white cotton duck fabric.  It's a safe bet — the chair can be changed with a different throw or pillow.

Keep reading for the after!

Another great reason to save a chair is it's usually cheaper to have it redone than buy new, and if you get a professional to do it, I guarantee the chair will be better quality!

So the next time you are out looking for new furniture think to yourself: Can I save something I already have? If you like to see more of my furniture, please feel free to stop by House To Your Home!

For some reason I thought it would cost a lot more to redo a chair. I might look into having my fav big ole chair redone!!

Thanks guys! The chair cost about $480.00, that was for the chair, fabric and to have it redone. Hope this helps! The side table is from good ol' Target!
