Rue magazine issue six hits virtual newsstands on Monday, July 25, and I am pleased to share an exclusive sneak peek with you! The new issue will be Rue's big international effort. Editor in Chief Crystal Gentillelo tells me: "We're proud to say that ALL our home tours are from abroad!"
The tour I'm sharing with you today is of the home of a Parisian ex-pat, Agnes Verrier, who moved to Singapore with her now ex-husband, stumbled upon a career in interior design, and fell in love with a British client, who had hired her to decorate his new flat in the city. As any true love story should, this one has a fairy-tale ending: Verrier wound up moving into the gorgeous apartment she had designed!
Rue worked with celebrated photographer Scott A. Woodward on this story — aren't the photographs just oozing in gorgeousness? The styling, courtesy of stylist Marie Maglaque, is perfection, as well. From floor to ceiling, this home has charm and character, brimming with antiques and global finds. It amazes me how someone can transform a streamlined, contemporary flat into one with such a feeling of history and romance.
I can't wait to read the rest of the issue! What do you think of this fabulous flat?
