Sarah Jessica Parker's Work of Art TV Show on Bravo

Sarah Jessica Parker Unveils Bravo Art Competition Series

From Project Runway to Top Design to Top Chef, Bravo has solidified itself as the purveyor of creative competition reality series. The latest in the network's stable is a modern art-based reality show, dreamed up by none other than the artsy-chic Sarah Jessica Parker and her production company, Pretty Matches, which will premiere June 9.
Titled Work of Art: The Next Great Artist, the hour-long series will pit fourteen aspiring artists against each other, competing for a solo show at the Brooklyn Museum and $100,000. Staying true to the Bravo cast lineup, British actress and model ("art enthusiast") China Chow will host and judge, renowned art auctioneer Simon de Pury will mentor, and art world luminaries NY gallery owner Bill Powers, art critic Jerry Saltz, and curator and gallery owner Jeanne Greenberg Rohatyn will make up the panel of judges. In each episode, the contestants will be challenged to create artwork in a variety of mediums including painting, sculpture, photography, collage, and industrial design. SJP, of course, will make an appearance as a guest judge!

I thought this show would be promising when I first read the initial idea; now with this article, I am really drawn in to watch. Reality shows tend to bore (or annoy) me quite badly (w/ exception to Project Runway, SYTYCD and does What Not To Wear count? ) however this idea is new and refreshing.
