I could write a manuscript about how much I adore this children's room designed by Kate Dixon and Artistic Living Spaces. But since I'm not about to put a carousel in my own bedroom, I wanted to point out one magnificent thing that I would use in my home. She's created an irregular patchwork of rugs by essentially using an oversize cross-stitch to sew them together. Not only is it clever-looking, but it's also economical: you can buy small-scale woven kitchen mats (like the red one) and Ikea pieces and combine them to create something one-of-a-kind rather than run-of-the-mill. What do you think?
