The Wythe Hotel, which opened last month in Brooklyn's Williamsburg neighborhood, started life under very different circumstances. The eight-story building dates back to 1901, when it was a cooperage. Now the building has been converted to a 72-room hotel that brings modern chicness to the original industrial architectural detailing — all of which has been meticulously preserved.
