Sarah Jessica Parker piled on the layers and left only a little bit of James Wilkie visible walking in NYC today. In the heart of Winter, Carrie Bradshaw might be wearing something a little more flashy and we may be getting another taste of that fashion soon. There's been talk of a Sex and the City movie sequel since the first one came out, with Kim Cattrall going as far as confirming the news, and apparently they're inching toward a real deal. The latest is that the ladies have all agreed to star in a new film, although contracts haven't been signed yet. We'll wait to hear the official announcement before we toast our cosmos but it could be exciting to see the four women — and their men — back on the big screen.

Brad Pitt and his friend Benjamin Button director, David Fincher, awkwardly posed together at their photo call in Paris earlier today. Note: it looks like Mr. Pitt may have been a bit forgetful when he put on his pants since they're unzipped — oops. While it may have been afternoon there, early this morning in LA both men were nominated for Oscars. The film received 13 nods total including Best Actor, Director and Picture, scoring the most of any movie this year. It's his and hers nods for the Jolie-Pitts this year as Angelina is up for Best Actress in Changeling. Whether or not they're favored to win, sounds like their award-worthy PDA will be on the Oscars red carpet in February.

After a busy start to the week, Ben Affleck was back in LA yesterday to relieve Jennifer Garner of school pickup duty. He divided his weekend between Sundance and inauguration activities, including a Tuesday night ball before heading back west. The past few days have been big for Ben after all his hard work supporting Obama, but now he must be happy to watch our new president take over and help shape the world Violet and Seraphina are set to inherit.

Still new couple John Krasinski and Emily Blunt arrived back in LA yesterday after spending a long weekend in Park City at Sundance. John has been working for years on his passion project Brief Interviews With Hideous Men, which premiered at the festival this week before this weekend's SAG Awards where he is a nominee. There's a new episode of The Office tonight and while Jim and Pam have their on-screen fans, John and Emily are getting to be just as sweet.

Forest Whitaker woke up early this morning to announce the Oscar nominations in LA. Benjamin Button won the most nominations with a total of 13, and Slumdog Millionaire also scored an impressive 10. Nominees for Best Picture are Slumdog Millionaire, Benjamin Button, Milk, The Reader, and Frost/Nixon. Kate and Leo were passed over for acting in Revolutionary Road as was The Dark Knight for best picture, which we're sure will cause some controversy. Contrary to the Golden Globes, Milk got a ton of recognition, scoring eight nominations including Best Actor for Sean Penn, who will be competing with Brad Pitt and Mickey Rourke. Angelina Jolie's performance in Changeling will be going up against Kate Winslet for Best Actress in The Reader. Heath Ledger got a Best Supporting actor nod posthumously for The Dark Knight, going up against Robert Downey Jr. and Josh Brolin. The Reader, Frost/Nixon and Doubt were also big winners with five nods each. Congratulations to all of the nominees — check out the full list here!

Lauren Conrad covered up her bikini for a walk with Kyle Howard after his surf session in LA on Tuesday. LC continues to keep her relationship with her boyfriend private, but Lo Bosworth recently gave her approval of Kyle, calling him "a good guy." We've learned from the show that it isn't always easy for these girls to get their friends' approval, but LC and Kyle seem just as cuddly together as when they started dating. Both Lauren and her pal Whitney have boys to walk on the beach with these days, now if only the four could get together for a double date.
