Sexy Salma Hayek looked perfectly polished on her way in and out of The Late Show yesterday. The actress is promoting her guest spot on 30 Rock, and she compared working with Alec Baldwin to enjoying a pint of delicious ice cream. She also told a few endearing stories about Valentina, mentioning that her trilingual baby likes things clean and sleepwalks at night. Dave teased Salma about Francois, and even brought up the engagement rumors. Salma didn't deny it but when he asked if there was going to be a wedding soon she coyly answered "Maybe... but then again maybe not." Sounds like we might have been right about our romantic speculation, but unfortunately Salma is still keeping us guessing.

Britney Spears was in the passenger seat yesterday as she and her mom Lynne drove around the town of Calabasas, where her rumored new $8.9 million mansion is located. She's apparently ready for a more suburban life, and her new digs offer just that with a rose garden, home theatre and library. Lynne wasn't the only Spears along for the trip, though, as Brit twittered that, "I just took my babies to our new home and they loved it! I can't wait to move in." She might have had an awkward confrontation with her past over the weekend when she ran into JT, but it seems like Brit's all about planning for her future.

Last night American Idol returned with plenty of awkward moments. First up was Katrina Darrell, aka the girl with no clothes who wanted to make out with Ryan. As if Simon's gawking weren't enough, Paula and new judge Kara DioGuardi got into a singoff with her. Then there was the final audition with Scott MacIntyre. The blind contestant had a heartfelt audition, which resulted in a well-deserved ticket to Hollywood. It was awesome until Ryan tried to give him a high five and was obviously left hanging. Jessica Biel had a dog on both hands out on a walk in LA yesterday before heading out to lunch with Justin Timberlake. While these dates are regular scenes, another of their outings this week took a turn for the unordinary. Justin and Jessica were out to dinner on Monday when Britney Spears and her mother walked into the same restaurant. It sounds like Brit might not have even noticed, while Justin and Jessica were rumored to look a bit uncomfortable with their fellow celebrity diner. Sounds like we shouldn't expect any double dates when Britney finds a new love interest.
