Jennifer Garner continued her weekday routine of picking up Violet from preschool yesterday, except this time they wore a few more layers than usual. While they went about their business, Ben Affleck was off at the UN headquarters in NYC debuting a documentary short he recently filmed in the Congo called "Gimme Shelter," which you can check out in its entirety. It's the latest project in Ben's efforts to draw attention to the country's ongoing humanitarian crisis, and hopefully it brings him and the people of the Congo some success.

The Spirit whisked into LA last night for another red carpet premiere. Eva Mendes continued to look stunning in color while Scarlett stuck with neutrals, letting her hair do the talking. As usual, no Mr. Reynolds to go along with his Mrs., but even so they're some of our favorite newlyweds of the year. Earlier this week we got a peek at Scarlett and Samuel L. Jackson's rapport, and it looks like the red carpet was one more night of the Lucy and Ricky show. Jaime King looked all wrapped up like a present as all the beautiful women showed off their comic book movie due out Christmas Day.

Jennifer Aniston strutted her way into Letterman yesterday to tape her appearance on last night's show. She looked fabulous — those legs — as usual and was in a fantastic mood when she chatted with Dave. They talked about high school and just a touch about John Mayer, though it's sweet to hear her swoon about his singing. Dave also grilled her about her recent magazine covers and when he got to GQ, Jennifer gave him the tie from that infamous cover. There was talk of her holiday plans and, naturally, Marley & Me, but really nothing can sell this movie quite as well as her great personality, contagious laugh and that smile.

Paris Hilton is true to her word, teetering out of a club with her TV show BFF Brittany earlier this week. One night earlier, Paris was at the same event as ex Benji and while there are rumors the two spent time together it seems that the next evening they went their separate ways. In the January issue of Esquire, Paris shared 20 pearls of knowledge she's learned in her life from always wanting to "be a blond icon" to the benefit of having a club in your house. She even dropped some words of wisdom about aging saying, "You may not be able to be hot when you're seventy-five in a conventional sense. Like, young people won't think you're hot. But your husband will, and so will people your own age." As silly as she sounds, she's a romantic in the end.
