Bettany and Connelly Are No Longer Brooklynites Actors Paul Bettany and Jennifer Connelly have finally sold their 9-bedroom, 3.5-bath Victorian townhouse in Brooklyn, which they put on the market in May. The Bettany-Connelly Prospect Park pad still stands in my mind as the one of the most impressive celebrity digs I've yet to take a gander at. Not only are the prewar architectural elements absolutely stunning and nonpareil, but also the couple made simply tasteful interior design choices that create bold, uncompetitive statements throughout the house.
Kate Moss brought Jamie Hince and Stella McCartney along yesterday to shop for antiques in London before picking up holiday gifts for Lila and heading to dinner. She seemed awfully low-key before her big announcement tomorrow — but Kate's probably used to keeping her cool with a lot going on at once. Her new ads for Longchamp just came out, and apparently Simon Cowell has asked her to guest host his popular X Factor show because he knows she's such a fan. Whatever her upcoming surprise is, we're excited to hear what Kate has to tell her loved ones.
Mark Wahlberg was spotted golfing in LA yesterday looking leisurely lounging in his golf cart. Mark showed off his golfing skills on Entourage this season and while we know even this preppy guy can be a little uncouth at times, this week he participated in a charity tournament. Having a hobby like Mark probably makes holiday gift giving easier for his family and Christmas will be extra special this year with the addition of his youngest son.
Patrick Dempsey stepped out after hours in LA last night, but there was no missing his hot car even in the dark. Patrick has managed to keep himself out of most of the 2008 Grey's drama, but the show is starting to lose favor with many of you. Mer and Derek couldn't match Jim and Pam's TV romance and the show was handily voted most in need of a makeover. As we wait and see what's in store in 2009, Patrick can rest assured knowing that his pretty face is part of what is keeping us tuned in.
Pete Wentz appeared on the Howard Stern Show earlier today, presumably to chat about Fall Out Boy's new album. Predictably, things got a little x-rated when Howard asked Pete about his private life. Pete took the bait and opened up all about sex with his famous exes and his current exploits with his wife Ashlee Simpson. Here's more:
On his life with Ashlee: "We have an amazing sex life," he said. "Texas girls are fun."
On his first time with Ashlee: "It was the single best sexual encounter I've ever had. We were in the Soho Grand Hotel, and there was a mirror, and I was like, 'Oh my God, you're b*nging the girl of your dreams and you're watching it right now.' "
On comparing his lovers: "My wife will murder me if I go on the scale," Wentz said when asked by Stern to rate Trachtenberg's prowess. "I will say that Michelle was a blast. My wife is the ultimate, though."
