John Mayer took a break from baking to strum his guitar and pose with B.B. King at the Grammy Nominations Concert rehearsals in LA yesterday. Taylor Swift and LL Cool J practiced their co-host duties before Mariah Carey joins them on stage tonight. The show airs live tonight and spices up the usual nomination announcements with performances by a number of artists as everyone gears up for the Grammy Awards in February.
A few weeks ago, Joe Jonas made headlines for breaking up with Taylor Swift and quickly jumping into a relationship with actress Camilla Belle. Though the two never made anything public, this week she was seen looking mighty friendly with Twilight leading man Robert Pattinson. Their lunch sparked rumors, but it could be nothing. Now tell us, hypothetically, if you had to choose between the two heartthrobs, who would you choose — Joe Jonas or Robert Pattinson?
Madonna arrived in Buenos Aires, Argentina following her Thanksgiving in Miami with A-Rod, and since her first show there was postponed due to some technical issues, she has time to make the rounds. Her first stop was at the country's presidential palace, the Casa Rosada, where she filmed Evita back in the day. She met with their President, Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner, as well as Ingrid Betancourt, the antikidnapping crusader who was recently released from captivity in the Colombian jungle by rebels. Madonna lightened things up a bit with an evening out on the town afterward, enjoying time with friends before A-Rod's rumored arrival.
Jessica Simpson rocks the ruffled look on the January cover of Marie Claire, trading in her signature smile for a more sultry face. The singer has always been serious about her faith, especially with a minister for a father, and she talked about religion and how she uses self-help books in the interview. Here are some highlights:
On religion: "I've been contemplating taking a college course in religion. I love
religion. I remember whenever the book The DaVinci Code came out, the Discovery Channel did this three-night piece on it that I TiVoed and then watched eight times."
On self-help books: "I am the first person to go to Barnes & Noble and buy the new
self-help book. I like to fill out the surveys, then I get my friends' opinions on how I answered to see if I was being honest with myself or not."
Jessica is always the first one to admit that she's open to self-improvement, but at least she's always as honest as possible with her fans.
