Pete Wentz took a day off from his new daddy duties to film FNMTV and get festive to tape an MTV Christmas special in LA on Monday. Though Pete has to get back to work, he had plenty to say about his first few days with his new family in an interview with Ryan Seacrest this morning. Here are highlights:

- On the baby: "He's beautiful. He's perfect. We were instantly in love. It's impossible not to be!"
- On the name Bronx Mowgli: "I feel weird — people have all these ideas of what it means now. I think it's kind of cool to leave the narrative the way it is. People are stoked or pissed or whatever . . . I don't think anybody knows the real story of why or how. We came up with the idea Bronx, we'd been throwing it back and forth a while ago. The Jungle Book is something me and Ashlee bonded over. It's really cool."
- On Ashlee: "She's pretty much a saint. Right before she went into labor, I was pretty much like, 'Oh my God, I think I'm having a heart attack.' Natural things start going on in your body. My heart started beating really fast. You seen your wife in all this pain, and you really don't know what's happening. She's a amazing girl. She was like, 'I will make sure you're OK.' I didn't even stop to think, 'Well, you just had an epidural and you're about to have a baby!'"
- On friends and family wanting to see the baby: "Yeah, it's like opening a new spot in LA. Everyone's trying to get in every night — they're like, 'No, I know Pete, kind of.' I'm like, you do not have a plus-one."
Being a new parent is a full-time job, but it sounds like Pete and Ashlee make a great team and are enjoying every moment so far. We can't wait to see the couple out and about showing off their little boy when he's ready for the world.

This morning we showed you Britney's hot new Rolling Stone cover, and now we've got another inside peek at her interview and photo shoot. The photos show a perfect balance of sexy and flirty, and it's refreshing to see Britney smiling and laughing again. Here are more highlights from the article where the pop star talks about her boys, her ex, and her music:

- On Kevin Federline: "I didn't think my husband was gonna leave me. Otherwise, I'd be with my babies 24/7. But since they're almost like twins, they both take care of each other. I think they look like me. They don't look like their father at all."
- On the boys: "Every time they come to visit me, I think about how they're such special people . . . Like, they're going to preschool now! I went there to pick them up on Friday, and seeing them in their little classroom and seeing Jayden being bad or not listening? It's like, those are mine, and it's just crazy, you know what I mean? And the things that are coming out of their mouths right now — they're learning so much, and it's new, and you never know what they're going to say, and they're so smart yet so innocent. They're obsessed with monsters, and every night we look outside, and we have to show them that there's no monsters out there. It's dark outside, but there's nothin' out there, you know."
- On using personal experiences in her music: "It's scary to put yourself out there and be like, 'Oh, God, is that cool?' If you're not going to really go for it, you can't just go there halfway. But sometimes, when you go for it, you can't lose."
- On choosing tracks for the album: "You just hear it, and you're like, oh, my God, if somebody else takes this song, you're gonna kill yourself, you know what I mean? Like, this one I'm doing tonight, I think it's good, and it's, like, really quirky and different and girly."
It sounds like Britney is growing up and coming into her own in both her career and personal life as a mother, but without losing the sweet Southern girl she always was on the inside.

David Beckham looked like a quintessential California boy with his backwards hat and Jamba Juice playing with his iPhone in LA yesterday. Beckham has been a staple in the Lakers front row this year so far, but he'll have to miss the bulk of the season when he heads to Milan in January. While there has been some talk of Becks extending his stay in Europe, he seems to enjoy his sunny stateside life as much as Victoria does — and seeing how they're already raising mini Lakers fanatics, hopefully the Beckhams aren't leaving for good just yet.
