Milk arrived in NYC last night with all its handsome stars out for the red carpet. Details helped host the event and recent cover boy Chace Crawford got dressed up and his usually shaggy hair was perfectly coiffed to attend the screening. Downtown from his grad school in the Upper West Side, Columbia, James Franco let both his hair and facial hair look a little more unruly, but he can certainly pull it off. Another night, another event for Robert Buckley who's a favorite bachelor and a very familiar face these days. There are still a couple weeks before Milk hits theaters, but there couldn't be a better time for a movie with such an important message to speak on the big screen.

The scruffy and handsome Hugh Jackman was chosen as People's Sexiest Man Alive for 2008, perfectly lined up with the premiere of his epic Australia with Nicole Kidman. Nicole is one woman who isn't surprised by the choice, saying: "Women's jaws drop when Hugh walks into a room." Hugh talked to People about earning the title:

• On his wife's response: "God bless her, she said, 'I could've told them that years ago!' And then she said, 'Obviously, Brad wasn't available this year.' And I said, 'That was a joke, right?'"
• On his first girlfriend: "Martine Craswell, in kindergarten. My dad said, 'Oh, I always knew you were romantic because you were running in a race and Martine fell over and you stopped and went back and picked her up.' Chivalry was there."
• On keeping the passion alive: "It's easy with my wife. She loves the idea of me coming home in costume because it makes her feel like she's having an affair in a good way. When we met, I was cast as a prisoner with tattoos and she'd say, 'Don't take your tattoos off tonight!' and I'd be like, 'All right!' But what works best with her is the stockbroker look. She also says, 'Do your sexy dance for me,' [an '80s-like, hip-swiveling number] and that works for me."

The hot Aussie has come a long way from being teased as a kid and admits that ladies love his pecs these days while showing off a very romantic side. Jessica Simpson dressed in sweats as she headed into a studio in LA yesterday. On Ellen today she talks about Ashlee's pregnancy but it wouldn't be a Jessica Simpson interview without some gushing about Tony Romo. She said, "He is a good guy. And he's really just helped me along in life and taught me a lot about being comfortable being myself. He's taught me to calm down a lot. I'm not organized and he's not organized either – but [he] does make me want to be organized for us." Jess never seems to run out of good things to say about her man, and it sounds like she's found another guy to appreciate her with nothing but a t-shirt on.

Two out of GQ's four cover boy Men of the Year came out to celebrate at the Chateau Marmont in LA last night. Jon Hamm and Leonardo DiCaprio both lived up to their steamy covers while Michael Phelps and Barack Obama (surprise) couldn't make it to the red carpet. Obsession of the year Megan Fox looked hot in pink and kept her boyfriend Brian Austin Green close for photos. Sarah Silverman and Jimmy Kimmel still don't want to define their relationship, but things seem very on again for this duo. January Jones looked glamorous as ever posing without her on-screen Mad Men husband Don Draper, but if the second season of the show taught us anything it's that Betty is just fine by herself. The party may have been about the men of the year, but the women held their own before heading in for a night of fun.
