In a recent interview with The New Yorker, Prince supposedly opened up about how religion and the Bible have changed his outlook on certain political and social issues. When asked more specifically about gay marriage and abortion, he said, “God came to earth and saw people sticking it wherever and doing it with whatever, and he just cleared it all out. He was, like, ‘Enough.’" Obviously those are strong words that lots of people will have passionate opinions about. So tell us — are you surprised by Prince's comments?
Desperate Housewives Style: Susan Mayer Susan Mayer dances next to her daughter in a look that is just as rock and roll as the concert she's attending on last night's episode. There's a lot to her outfit, but the most covetable piece is the leather vest (shop a similar version from Noir). From there, grab the gold necklace and belt and pair them with black skinny jeans and a plum top and you'll be ready to boogie.
Now that the election is over, Scarlett Johansson is back to her life as an actress, which means gracing the cover of the December issue of Allure. She's promoting The Spirit, but it seems Scarlett was just as interested in discussing Lindsay Lohan. In the interview, she has a couple of things to say about her fellow starlet as well as Ryan and her favorite director Woody Allen. Here are highlights:
On the story that Lindsay Lohan wrote profanities about Scarlett in a NYC bathroom a few years ago: "That's what I heard. I don’t know what the motivation was behind that. I remember it was something really vulgar — I mean, shockingly so, like, 'Whoa, what, who are you?' I really don’t know that person. I only met her, like, three times."
On inspiring Katy Perry's "I Kissed a Girl": "That's flattering, but my lips are kind of taken."
On being Woody Allen's muse: "I don't inspire that work that Woody does. I'm just lucky to fit into the 'young woman' category in his movies. But make no mistake, I know that if it wasn't me, it would be someone else."
On how she started dating Ryan Reynolds: "Nobody knows. It's private. It's our story."
Scarlett and Ryan have definitely done a good job of keeping their romance pretty secret, but maybe we'll get a few more details on their rumored second wedding celebration.
George Clooney was back on the set of Men Who Stare at Goats but this time he's not shirtless in Puerto Rico, he's in army fatigues in Albuquerque. He's still sporting the stache that many of you think Brad is more attractive with and this time George adds even more hair to the mix with a wig. He may be one of the hottest eligible bachelors but he still might not get sexy in his old scrubs. Same goes for his old co-star, Julianna Margulies who confirmed she won't return to ER.
Buzz Interview: Robert Pattinson Talks Twilight (Part One) After causing utter mayhem at a mall here in San Francisco last week, Robert Pattinson retreated to a calmer room where I asked him all my burning questions about the the mania surrounding this movie, how he approached the role, why people seem to be going ga-ga for vampires, and more.
On Friday night, Lauren Conrad was in Boston on her college fashion tour before returning to LA and immediately turning around and flying out of town again. Lauren was traveling light with her pair of Goyard bags, BlackBerry in hand as usual. While she has been reluctant about continuing her time on The Hills often saying that she's ready to do other things, Audrina confirmed that there will be a fifth season of the show. While we're still a few months ahead of the show in terms of the girls' real life drama, I'm sure they'll find a way to keep us hooked on watching the lives of these beautiful, fashionable LA ladies even without Whitney.
Rihanna bundled up for her appearance on The Late Show and looked perfectly chic while waving to her New York fans. She kept things simple in all black but mixed patterns and textures to create a unique look.
