Hot! The singer jet set to LA in a gray coat with gold buttons, a cool fedora, and of course, her Hermes bag. I admire that in the battle between comfort and sophistication, the latter always wins for Victoria.
Salma Hayek went 20s style last night to the Hollywood Domino Tournament in NYC, held to benefit The Art of Elysium children's foundation. She attended a similar event earlier this year alongside Demi Moore and Kate Hudson, and this time she was joined by Heroes' Ali Larter and Lipstick Jungle's Lindsay Price and Kim Raver. While Lindsay and Kim dealt with drama on their show Friday night, all the ladies were dressed up to have a fun and charitable evening. Theirs was the second in a series of benefits held over the weekend, after Sienna Miller attended a bash in London, and it's great to see the celebrities out enjoying their game for a good cause.
Brooke Smith was abruptly let go from the cast of Grey's Anatomy after last week's episode. While the details are sketchy, there are a lot of stories correlating her departure with her on-screen homosexuality. Isaiah Washington, who was fired from the show last year, spoke out about her write-off, calling it "disgusting" and saying that the show could be redeemed by bringing back his character. Nicole Kidman was all buttoned up on her way out to lunch in NYC yesterday. While she just signed on to play a transsexual married to Charlize Theron, her epic film Australia comes out the day before Thanksgiving and the actress is starting to make the rounds promoting it. Her Oprah interview airs today in which Kidman talks about her family. Apparently Sunday Rose is the spitting image of Keith so much so that Nicole calls her "Keith-ette." About her other kids she said, "They have Suri, so they have got now just another baby sister. But they're very used to having children around. Connor's like, 'I want a boy!'" Hopefully she found a moment to see her older children while she's in New York and though we still haven't gotten a real look at Sunday she sounds like a sweetheart and daddy's little girl already.
After his mini tour of Europe promoting Body of Lies last week, Leonardo DiCaprio was back in LA and wasted no time hanging out with two of his favorite people. On Saturday night he caught up with BFF Lukas Haas over dinner at Pane e Vino, while Sunday was reserved for Bar Refaeli. The on again off again couple hit the farmers market and munched on snacks between booths before taking a ride on Leo's bike. While we love a suited up Leo on the red carpet, he seems just as happy taking a break from being a movie star in his sweats and baseball cap.
