Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson had their leather jackets on and LV luggage ready to go as they left Manhattan yesterday and arrived in LA. Lindsay's stint on Ugly Betty is over after last week's episode, with her character getting the boot from Mode. Kimmie isn't the only one having trouble holding a job — LL will no longer be hosting the World Music Awards in Monaco next weekend.

Kate Winslet looked gorgeous and sexy stripping down to nothing but thigh highs and heels with her messy blonde hair for the new Vanity Fair. Kate is promoting two December films, Revolutionary Road and The Reader — both of which are already getting Oscar buzz. In her interview she opens up about meeting her husband Sam Mendes, working with Leonardo DiCaprio again, and her weight issues. Here's more:

- On her acting skills: "I know that in order to do my job as truthfully as I can—because to me that’s everything—you really have to not give a f**k [about what people think]. You have to be prepared to look stupid and you have to be prepared to walk around naked in front of a crew of people you’ve never met before and may never see again. And it is scary."
- On her weight: "This is going to sound really weird, but I never had a desire to be famous. I never had huge ambitions—never.… I was fat. I didn’t know any fat famous actresses. I just did not see myself in that world at all, and I’m being very sincere. You know, once a fat kid, always a fat kid. Because you always think that you just look a little bit wrong or a little bit different from everyone else. And I still sort of have that. I often look at women who wear great jeans and high heels and nice little T-shirts wandering around the city and I think, I should make more of an effort. I should look like that. But then I think, 'They can’t be happy in those heels'."

Ryan Gosling looked like he was playing with some possible Halloween aftermath, out to lunch with a friend and a ventriloquist dummy on Saturday. It's actually not a completely surprising accessory to see with the quirky actor whose most recent movie had him falling in love with a life sized doll. Another out of the ordinary activity for Ryan this week — he teamed up with his sister to cook at Jacqui Getty's dinner party to welcome designer Andrew Gn including guests like Rachel Zoe and Kirsten Dunst. Along with everything else, Ryan's a chef too? Swoon.
