Update: Madonna's rep, Liz Rosenberg, confirms that Madonna and Guy Ritchie will divorce after seven and a half years of marriage. The couple requests that the public respect their privacy. They have not agreed on a settlement.

This isn't the first time we've heard this, but according to multiple reports, Madonna and Guy Ritchie are preparing to confirm their plans to divorce. The news was first reported yesterday by UK's The Sun, which claims that the announcement will be coming "imminently" and that the couple is tired of "the pretense" and wants the divorce finalized by Christmas.
The NY Post says the announcement is expected as early as today. Madonna recently started the US leg of her tour while Ritchie has been in the UK, and supposedly they recently underwent a final Kabbalah course to try and save their relationship. Back in June when all the reports came out that Madonna and Guy were on the brink of a split, most of you believed it was for real this time, and while we'll wait for the official announcement or denial, it's always sad when couples break up, especially when kids are involved.

Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise looked holiday ready in their red outfits as they grabbed ice cream in NYC yesterday. Suri's been treated to plenty of fun on her city outings with mom and dad, but apparently she's been lonely for some pint-sized friends to play with. Tomorrow night is the official opening of Katie's Broadway show along with the first reviews, so maybe good news for mom will help lift Suri's spirits too. If not, Suri still has plenty of fuzzy buddies and dolls to keep her company.

Britney Spears looked bubbly, Starbucks in hand as usual, on her way into a nail salon in LA yesterday. Britney's "Womanizer" video had us all excited this weekend and now those dance moves are stepping on stage. She recently said that she was definitely going to be on the road performing soon and now it's official — Britney will tour next Spring, produced by AEG live, which is known for international stadium shows. While seeing Britney back in her element will surely excite her fans around the world, she has to be in tip-top shape before she puts that sort of nightly strain on herself again. Hopefully when the day comes, a stadium full of screaming fans will keep this big grin on her face as she wows us with those signature dance moves again.

Beyonce was all in black to make an appearance at TRL in NYC yesterday. She debuted her two new videos, but she was also there to announce that she'd be making an appearance on the show's last episode on November 16. Beyonce reminisced about the first time she was on the show with Destiny's Child, saying, "I can remember being 16 or 17 when they asked us to be on the show, and it was our big moment." While TRL won't be around forever to keep showcasing Beyonce's new material work, we're excited to see her perform and bid farewell to the show that helped so many artists make their names.

Lindsay Lohan was out in NYC yesterday after her big Monday night out at the launch of her 6126 collection and Madonna's premiere. She switched from her holey leggings into a plain black pair, though she was still sporting her Madonna-esque curls from the evening before. A hairstyle might not be the only thing LL and Madonna have in common for long, as Lindsay has pitched the idea of recording a song together. Madonna responded saying, "Yeah, sure, why not?" So while we haven't heard much about that new album in a while, maybe there's a future for LL's music career yet.
