Katie Holmes left her NYC apartment yesterday as she made her way to the theater for a performance of All My Sons, which officially opens tonight after weeks of previews. Hopefully Katie won't get too comfortable on Broadway, because she might be required back on the set of Eli Stone. The show runner, Mark Guggenheim, hinted that she might be a recurring character this season, saying that she, "sort of remains in the background throughout the year, and then she moves large toward the middle half of the season." We don't have to wait much longer to see her return to TV — she makes her sexy singing and dancing debut next Tuesday.

Britney Spears kept it low key on her way into a studio with her mom in LA yesterday, but she's got one very big reason to smile. "Womanizer" made the biggest chart jump of all time from No. 96 to No. 1 this week, which also marks her first chart topping single since "...Baby One More Time"! That's pretty amazing for Britney and the fun is just beginning with a tour on the way and her album release set for December 2. Plus, rumor has it Miss Spears will be on the January cover of Glamour. Meanwhile, across town jury selection started in her driving without a license trial, though they had some trouble finding an unbiased group. Britney herself is never expected to appear in court, but she's always got her phone on hand to get the updates.

Gwyneth Paltrow was out in London yesterday, running errands solo, simple in all black to match what may have been a somber day. Apparently, Gwyneth spent the Summer trying to convince her friend and fellow expat Madonna not to file for divorce and instead consider the effect it could have on her three kids. It looks like Madonna ultimately made up her mind on her own, officially announcing her split from Guy yesterday, but we're sure that Gwyneth will be there for her friend nonetheless.

Audrina Patridge spent her Wednesday with a couple of hooded pals, including her sometimes boyfriend Justin Bobby. Looks like these two have patched things up since the rumors that he hooked up with LC and the drama that followed. Despite initial claims that he admitted it, Justin denied anything happened and even said, "It's all for the show." Still, Audrina and LC aren't back to being BFFs just yet. Things might still be rocky seeing as Audrina skipped LC's Fashion Week show, but after the reunion between Lauren and Heidi any reconciliation is possible.

Sienna Miller flashed a rare smile for the cameras yesterday at the Frieze Art Fair in London. We haven't seen too much of Sienna since she hightailed it out of the US to avoid all of the attention surrounding her relationship with Balthazar Getty. They've been apart while he films Brothers and Sisters in LA, but since Balthazar was spotted yesterday at LAX perhaps there will be a romantic rendezvous soon. No one has much sympathy for Sienna recently, but things are still going well for her otherwise between her exciting new role and hefty lawsuit winnings.
