Christian Bale exuded cool in his sunglasses as he leaned against his pickup truck at the gas station in LA last week. He serviced both his car and his shiny red bike, and we know that Christian's already got the gear to embark on his next adventure. Now that the Summer of The Dark Knight has come to an end, we're sure this private actor is enjoying being out of the spotlight before his next big blockbuster, Terminator 4.
Heroes Rundown Chapter Four: "I Am Become Death" In this week's episode of Heroes, we alternate between the present day and four years in the future, discovering what will apparently happen unless certain heroes take some action in the present day, stat. This version of the future is bizarre (especially Sylar's story!) and scary (cold-hearted gangster Claire). It will be interesting to see when/if/how it can be avoided.
It was Ryan Phillippe's turn with Ava and Deacon yesterday, and the doting dad held his two kids close as they ran errands in LA. Blue-eyed boy Deacon always seems to be bubbling with personality as he comes up on his fifth birthday later this month. He and Ava are lucky that they have both mom and dad close in LA so they get to spend a lot of time with both parents, though with rumors that Reese is looking for a place in London while Jake is there filming, it might become a little harder. Even so, they always seem to work it out and we love seeing the adorable kids with either parent even if they still make us nostalgic from time to time.
Lauren Conrad got together with a blast from the past, her ex Jason Wahler, at Jerry's Deli in LA last night. Judging from LC's quote last week, that's where you go with guy friends (as opposed to on a date) so I don't think any flame was rekindled. Maybe she just wanted to see someone comfortable after the dramatic weekend. These photos aren't the only thing taking us on a walk down memory lane — last night's episode of The Hills was about looking at the past and what could have been. Audrina couldn't get off the phone with Justin Bobby. Over drinks and lunches, it looked like Lauren and Heidi were missing each other, but a reconciliation still seems far off with Spencer around. So did last night's episode make you miss the days when Lauren and Heidi were the ones doing their make up, picking outfits to go out and gossiping together?
