Summer Phoenix opened up her second Some Odd Rubies store in LA yesterday, with a little help from her beautiful girlfriends. Sister-in-law Jennifer Garner came out to show the love and provide a few hugs, as did a smiley Liv Tyler. Elizabeth Banks took a time out from being an underrated actress to check out the vintage wares. All of the ladies looked fresh-faced and fabulous last night, but there's no harm in shopping for new goodies while supporting a friend.
Salma Hayek had her hands full yesterday as she carried her newly 1-year-old Valentina into their NYC hotel. They're back in the USA after some fashion adventures in France and a quick stop in Germany, though she missed being honored at the Women in Hollywood event earlier this week. With her 30 Rock guest spot coming up, looks like little Valentina might be tagging along for more than just a leisure trip, though with that adorable face I imagine she makes any set fun.
Project Runway Rundown: Episode 13, "Finale Part One" There's just one week left till the end of the Project Runway road, and you know what that means: a little thing I like to call Tim Gunn's Couture Tour. This is the episode where Tim travels to each designer's home to critique his or her forthcoming collection, and from that standpoint, this season's version was about what I expected. Luckily, in true ProjRun fashion, they threw the contestants a curve ball . . . or two.
Charlize Theron headed down to Cabo to spend some time bonding with her mom and relaxing in the sun. She showed off her hot bikini body and while these aren't the best photos, we already know that Charlize can easily rock a sexy swimsuit. Usually these getaways are reserved for romance with Stuart, but it's sweet that she's taking time for some female bonding with the woman she's so close with.
Here's the long-awaited cover of W Magazine featuring Angelina Jolie shot by Brad Pitt. There's a full spread coming — can't wait — but for now, check out the revealing shot of Angelina breastfeeding one of the twins on the cover! What do you think of the Angelina Jolie breastfeeding W cover: tasteful or too much?
Beyonce Knowles put out two singles yesterday gearing up for her Nov. 18 album release — but even more exciting is that she's finally talking about her not-so-secret wedding to Jay-Z. The couple has always kept extremely private, but in the November issue of Essence, Beyonce opens up just a little. Here are highlights:
On getting married: "We've been together a long time. We always knew it would happen. What Jay and I have is real. It's not about interviews or getting the right photo op. It's real."
On not wanting an engagement ring: "People put too much emphasis on that. It's just material, and it's just silly to me."
On the small ceremony: "[I'm not a] traditional woman. It's been my day so many days already."
On her legacy: "I want to be acknowledged as a woman in a very talented group with great harmonies and great songs that made history and changed the culture of women, not only in America but all over the world. [A woman] who could sing a cappella and write her own songs and produce her own songs."
While an engagement diamond might have been unnecessary, have you seen the wedding ring she's wearing these days? Underneath that, however, is the meaningful matching IV tattoos, which represent their birthdays and wedding day. While Jay-Z hinted at starting a family, sounds like her new album is the focus for now.
Kate Moss was all smiles leaving the SingStar Take That Extravaganza in London. She took a casual approach to the night, opting for patent leather flats and mismatched blacks.
