Ashlee Simpson turned 24 on Friday, and Pete Wentz celebrated by taking her to see Wicked in LA on Saturday. The couple matched in Fall essential beanies, to go with Ashlee's unmistakable long red hair. While Ashlee's been in LA, Pete's been busy promoting his upcoming Fall Out Boy album in NYC and keeping us updated with his blog and Twitter. Pete also recently donated money to fight Proposition 8, proving that he's committed to making the world the type of place they want to raise their son.
Salma Hayek continued her tour of Europe heading to Germany for a TV appearance on Saturday. She's been busy doing good deeds but switched gears for some costume fun — though she was at serious risk for a wardrobe malfunction in her traditional dirndl. Salma changed into something a little more formal to get back to business, but we're already wondering what she'll be wearing to accept her award at Elle's Women of Hollywood Tribute party tonight.
After the weekend in NYC for Angelina's Changeling premiere, at least one Jolie-Pitt headed to New Orleans to check on things at their house in the French Quarter. Brad spent his morning biking around the neighborhood, showing off his notebook complete with a Barack Obama sticker. Brad probably has some business to attend to — like checking up on his Make It Right program — but if the kids joined him for the trip hopefully we'll get to see another one of the family bike rides they love so much.
Nicollette Sheridan frolicked around Malibu beach showing off her bikini body yesterday afternoon before the rest of us checked her out on last night's episode of Desperate Housewives. Off screen, Nicollette seems to be bouncing back just fine from her split with Michael Bolton and is obviously proud of her hot bod at 44. So tell us — do you think Nicollette's still got it or is she trying too hard?
Mad Men Rundown: Episode 10, "The Inheritance" This week's installment has little Sterling-Cooper stuff and tons of richly layered, sad, prickly family issues dealing with difficult moms, sick dads, unknown heirs and lonely little boys. We don't see too see much of our main man, Don Draper, and I longed for more Joan, Roger and Peggy, but this episode is just as sad, disturbing and well-written as any of them.
Nicky Hilton makes dressing for transition weather look so easy! Waiting for her car at Barneys New York in Beverly Hills, she wore a trendy and chic ensemble consisting of a gray blazer, a simple black tank, denim cut offs and platform booties.
