Britney Spears took home three moonmen at this year's MTV VMAs, where host Russell Brand caused some controversy between the performances. There were lots of gorgeous girls and well dressed men at the event, but the awards weren't the only thing that happened this week — here's a look back at the week's top photos.
How-To: Diane Kruger's Fresh Twisty Side Ponytail Diane Kruger's style never disappoints. She's like the girl you admire from afar and want to befriend because she's just that cool. At yesterday's Tommy Hilfiger show, Kruger sported a casually trendy side-swept ponytail with a twist — literally. While we've seen versions of this look just about everywhere lately, her shorter style gives it an effortlessly chic (and sassy) look.
Katie Holmes kept right on her routine of rehearsing for All My Sons in NYC yesterday and today, and now she's less than a week away from the previewing the show starting on Sept. 18. We already know that Joshua Jackson plans on supporting his former costar, and she'll also get some love from her friend Jada Pinkett Smith, who said, "I am going to be there on opening night. I know she is going to be fabulous." Katie's fellow celebs won't be the only ones filling the seats — the show is slated to be one of the biggest non-musicals at the box office, despite recent rumors that sales were lackluster.
Kate Moss showed off her shorter haircut last night as she partied at London's Punk Club with friends and her man Jamie Hince. She and Jamie made their way home separately after apparently getting into a fight, but hopefully it was just a little tiff for the recently reunited pair. As usual, Kate has more than enough going on to keep her distracted from her relationship troubles. She's appearing on the October cover of British Vogue, and another installment of her line for Topshop just hit stores — and lucky for us, we can now buy her line on the store's new US website.
Celebrity Style: Elle Macpherson One of the key takeaways from Gucci's Fall folklore collection is wearing a fringe scarf as a belt. Model Elle Macpherson is already all over the trend in her all-black ensemble, topped with a bronze scarf-belt and layered gold-circle necklaces. While Gucci's version is far more busy and dramatic, Elle's translation is simple to perfection.
Beyonce Knowles got to play sexy cop on a set in Harlem, NYC, yesterday afternoon. The law's not the only thing Beyonce's laying down this week — she's been working on her upcoming album, which will be released Nov. 18. The first two singles, "If I Were a Boy" and "Single Ladies," will be out Oct. 7. Perhaps the most exciting tidbit about her new music is that she's been in the studio recording with Justin Timberlake this week! They looked great together on stage at Fashion Rocks last weekend, so there's sure to be something hot coming our way from these two superstars.
Norma Lewis (Cameron Diaz) looks pretty heated in this scene from The Box while chatting with husband Arthur Lewis (James Marsden), but she still manages to look classy and put together. She smartly ties a leopard print silk scarf around her neck to give this gray sweater dress a hint of color, while her black tights and simple booties effortlessly complete the look.
