Amanda Bynes and Harry Connick Jr. attended the premiere of their new Lifetime TV movie Living Proof last night in NYC. Renee Zellweger was the executive producer on this project about Dr. Dennis Slamon, played by Harry, who developed the breast cancer drug Herceptin. The actress has a personal connection with the subject, recently revealing she had a breast cancer scare in 1996, with what luckily turned out to be benign tumors. The Lifetime movie premieres on Oct. 18, and Renee's story is a good reminder for all of us to keep up those monthly exams.

Adrian Grenier and his curly hair partied at Bungalow 8 for the second night in a row during his trip to London. Nicole Richie visited traffic school in LA yesterday, but stayed more undercover than usual probably looking to avoid any questions about her ex-fiancé DJ AM's plane crash. While she's laying low for the moment, she's still staying active in her charity work, posting a video of her recent visit to a local children's shelter on the Richie-Madden Children's Foundation MySpace yesterday. She wrote about her efforts, "This past year, philanthropy has opened my eyes to so much need and so much beauty. I have also realized how easy it is to help, and how rewarding it feels to be able to make a positive difference in someone's life," encouraging people to text and donate. So far they've raised $10,000 towards their $35,000 goal — already amazing work by these big hearted new parents and their continued passion for giving.

Lots of stars from Showtime were out in NYC last night to celebrate the upcoming premieres of Dexter and Californication. Michael C. Hall and Evan Handler were on hand to celebrate their respective programs, while Mary-Louise Parker came out to support her network-mates. David Duchovny missed the bash as he deals with his other issues, but that doesn't take away from our excitement for the return of his series — in fact, it's one of the fifteen Fall shows we can't wait to watch!
