Javier Bardem arrived with a smile at the International Film Festival of San Sebastian last night. He stepped out of his car looking perfectly huggable in his t-shirt and jeans at the festival to premiere his excellent Vicky Cristina Barcelona alongside Woody Allen. It doesn't look like any of his gorgeous female costars joined him for his arrival most notably his girlfriend Penelope Cruz who has been in London preparing for Nine. Javier and his sense of humor are always welcome on their own and hopefully soon he'll get over his exhaustion and get to work on learning a new skill.
ANTM Beauty Quiz: Top Model Makeovers It's the most anticipated episode of every "cycle" of America's Next Top Model. That's right, last night it was all about the Top Model makeovers! As expected, a few of the makeovers were fierce, but the majority were interesting at best.
Penn Badgley spends his fair share of time with starlets on Gossip Girl, but he recently spoke out on the weight issue of the 90210 girls, telling PopEater, "I hope they eat a double cheeseburger or something." The stick-thin stars have been a hot topic of conversation since the show started airing, and most of you agree that teen shows are setting a bad example, but tell us — do you think Penn's comment was out of line?
Zooey Deschanel graces the cover of the October Nylon, and the "It" girl looks appealing and gorgeous in her silly offbeat photo shoot. After spending so much time shooting Yes Man with Jim Carrey, Zooey proves she can pull a few funny faces of her own while showing a slightly risqué side as well. We're already looking forward to the comedy which comes out in December, but in the issue Zooey also opens up about her musical side, saying, “Now that I’ve experienced what it’s like to stand up there and sing my own songs, I just can’t imagine wanting to do anything else.” She also reveals that she's a country singer at heart, and while we love her on the big screen we wouldn't mind seeing her try to give Jessica Simpson a little friendly competition.
After a busy weekend of participating in a triathlon immediately followed by a birthday bash for Marc on the opposite coast, Jennifer Lopez has been treating herself to a little vacation in St. Tropez. Today she was spotted shopping around town before climbing back aboard Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana's yacht. In a recent interview, J Lo revealed that she's hired a nanny to help with the twins, which explains how she has more time for her fitness, career, and shopping these days. Here are highlights:
On finally getting help with the babies: "I did it for a long time but we started using a nanny a few weeks ago. [Most days] I get up early with them. Then when the nanny comes, I can take a shower and give them their breakfast. She's there to help me get things done."
On spending time with the twins: "When they see you and have that big smile on their face – I live for that. And when I put them to bed at night and they melt in your arms. I give them a bottle and wind it down. I say, 'It's time for beddy-bye.' I hold them and sing a little song. By the time you know it, they are asleep."
Paris Hilton stopped to work on her tan at the Portofino Tanning Salon in LA yesterday wearing a shirt covered in her name and image. The heiress is gearing up for the Sept. 30 premiere of her new BFF show and has already released a casting special introducing her potential future besties. With rumors of a new scripted TV show in the works with Ryan Seacrest along with all her many projects, Paris took a break for a little self promotion in an interview. Here are some highlights:
On the biggest misconception of her: "The one that 'she doesn't work.' I am literally running a huge corporation. I have my clothing lines, my champagne, my watches, shoes and purses and dog clothes — every sort of product you can imagine. I am doing movies. I am doing my record right now, producing, starring in a TV show. So it is a 24 hour, seven day-a-week job. I work all the time, so I laugh when I hear people say that."
On her privacy: "I am basically always on camera. From the moment I leave my house in the morning, the paparazzi are waiting there until I go to bed at night. So it is natural to be doing this TV show. I don't even know the cameras are there. I still have my private life. When I go home I have my pets and my boyfriend."
On her future in 20 years: "I'll probably be a mom with a couple of kids. I'd love to have a big family. Running my business and not traveling so much. I'll be in a lot of real estate businesses and hotels then. I'll be running my business from home."
As for her new TV show, it should be interesting to see what kind of people audition to be someone's friend.
