It's confirmed, Britney Spears will be on stage to kick off the VMAs this Sunday in LA! Don't get your hopes too high — she won't be performing — but she will open the show. According to a statement from Brit, "MTV has long played an important role in my career. How can I not be there to kick off their 25th VMAs? I'm excited to open the entire show, to say hi to my fans and to be nominated." After seeing her hilarious promos with Russell Brand, I can't wait to see what they come up with for Britney even if she won't be showing off her moves or any new music. Judging by the trailer, she plays a bit of a badass but in real life she's still nursing a broken heart not helped by an upcoming story in Vanity Fair that reveals how she called ex Rafaello Follieri the love of her life. Thankfully, it sounds like she's starting to move on. According to Life & Style, she was spotted getting cozy with hot Josh Lucas at the Democratic National Convention last week. At the very least it sounds like they have politics in common even if it's nothing more than friendly rebound flirting for Anne.
A bronzed Eva Longoria stepped out to dinner with friends in LA last night, with her essentials in hand — BlackBerry and credit card. Usually Eva's flowy tops spark the constant pregnancy rumors, but this time it's the actress' diet causing speculation. This weekend when Eva was at the opening of Yellowtail Sushi at the Bellagio in Vegas she stuck to water and edamame, passing on alcohol and raw food. Maybe this means something, or maybe Eva just wasn't hungry but the is-she-or-isn't-she pregnant game is getting to be quite a familiar one with this tiny star.
