It's back to work for Ben Affleck, who was spotted on the set of Extract with Jason Bateman yesterday. He jumped right into character with his long curly hair to play a sleazy-sounding lawyer in the comedy, but luckily the scraggly wig was nowhere to be found when he met up with Jennifer to pick up Violet from school. It looks like Ben's hotness might not be a draw for this movie, but we're excited to see him flex those comedic muscles again.
It's no secret that we're huge fans of teen shows like Gossip Girl, The Hills, and 90120, but now that our guilty pleasures are back we can't help but question some of the examples set by the characters. America Ferrera even told Seventeen magazine that she thinks these three shows in particular are encouraging girls to be mean to each other. Matthew McConaughey flashed a smile after a workout of running and biking around Malibu yesterday in preparation for the triathalon on Sunday. Surfer, Dude is out today and while he didn't hit the waves to celebrate, he recently revealed how much he enjoyed staying shirtless throughout the film. Matthew said, "When I'm lucky enough to be in a place where I don't have to wear a shirt and shoes, I don't. It's to pop the bubble and go 'Guess what? Now I'll do it the whole movie.'" On Sunday we'll see if he gets to keep up his shirtless streak for the race — now, we wonder who will get a better time in the race, Matthew or Jennifer Lopez?
Jessica Simpson stopped by The Late Show last night in a skin-tight Herve Leger dress and as soon as she stepped on stage, Dave Letterman wanted to talk football. He grilled her about her first date with Tony, her "jinx" status, and why she will never wear a pink jersey again (blue only from now on). She assured Dave that Tony's "firing the pigskin real right" and won the debate over whether QBs wear cups — all while showing off that trademark laugh. When she finally got to the music, she performed "Come on Over" in that country twang that has already gotten her album to No. 1 on iTunes this week.

Tobey Maguire and Leonardo DiCaprio were spotted a few weeks ago relaxing together in Hawaii, and yesterday the friends were both at the Service Nation Summit at Columbia in NYC. The boys weren't the only famous duo to stop by the event encouraging people to give back — John McCain and Barack Obama both appeared yesterday. As for Tobey who took the podium with Leo there to cheer him on, it's been all but officially confirmed that he and director Sam Raimi are about to sign on for two more sequels of Spider-Man. Production for the films wouldn't even begin until a year from now, which gives Tobey plenty of time to focus on changing the world with the help of his friend Leo.

But for every spook with high-security clearance in DC, there is a goofball at Jamba Juice, waiting for his afternoon smoothie.
Kanye West missed his flight out of LAX yesterday after getting arrested for attacking a photographer, but he still made it to Hawaii eventually and is back to work with his MacBook Air in his arms. We know by now that when there's drama, Kanye blogs about it and this morning he already wrote: "We back in the lab!!! I'm cool with the paparazzi. This guy wasn't cool. I gotta work now. . . . I'll rant later!" Seems like Kanye's in pretty good spirits despite a long day, and while we wait to hear what he has to say about the whole mess, at least he should feel good that you all are loving his newest single.
