This weekend was busy between TIFF, VMAs and Stand Up 2 Cancer, but many celebs still found time to sit front row at their favorite designers shows to start picking out their new wardrobe and red carpet picks. John Legend and Mary-Kate sat front row at Rock and Republic, while Eva Longoria and Jennifer Lopez sat a seat away from one another in the front row of Diane Von Furstenberg where sexy sixties style beauty looks were strutting down the catwalk. Lindsay Lohan and Samantha were out to enjoy the Ronson family affair that included cool-girl chic beauty looks while Winona Ryder and Christina Ricci smiled big at Donna Karan.

Nicole Richie was also at DK looking adorable as she posed with the designer after the show. At the DVF show yellow was the hot color, which Rosario Dawson glowed in as well as Leighton Meester who was sharing the love with her also yellow wearing co-star Jessica Szohr. Leighton was everywhere during Fashion Week but looked especially beautiful in pink at the Julie Haus show. Ellen Pompeo sat front row at Y-3 and of course who can resist a little Anderson Cooper who also attended DVF (supposedly the most star studded show so far). Finally, Charlize was already spotted wearing red carpet attire to Fashion Rocks on Friday from the Rag and Bone's show earlier that day. Must be nice!

The long awaited Britney Spears opening included a pre-taped clip with Jonah Hill before her blink-and-you'll-miss-it intro which was greeted by a touching standing ovation and eventually three moonmen! Host Russell Brand didn't hold back when bashing President Bush, calling Palin a VILF and begging for Obama support. He also mocked the promise ring wearing Jonas Brothers but Jordin Sparks came to their defense and called Brand a slut. Rihanna looked amazingly badass twice —opening the show with "Disturbia" and later doing a duet with T.I. Other performances included Kanye, Christina Aguilera, Pink, the Jonas Brothers and Kid Rock — all of them full of energy and enjoyable. Also, Demi Moore, Lauren Conrad and Michael Phelps presented awards! So much to talk about, what was your favorite part?

The MTV VMAs may have been the talk of the town, but the Toronto Film Festival proved to be just as star-studded. Jennifer Aniston looked fabulous as usual in her mini black dress for Management, while Keira Knightley looked like royalty once again on the red carpet for The Duchess. Brad Pitt showed off his Burn After Reading and talked about how little sleep he's getting these days taking care of six kids. Dakota Fanning wowed us in her black number, looking so pretty and grown-up at the premiere of The Secret Life of Bees with costar Jennifer Hudson.

Mark Ruffalo pulled double duty for Blindness with Julianne Moore and The Brothers Bloom with Adrien Brody, while Anne Hathway looked gorgeous continuing promotions for Rachel Getting Married. Of course, it wouldn't be a festive weekend without a few parties, and Kate Hudson, Diddy, and Lindsay Lohan were just a handful of stars who had plenty of fun without any movies of their own to endorse.

The ladies hit the VMAs red carpet and managed to look cool under the blazing LA sun yesterday afternoon and we were there to get a peek at the action. Lindsay Lohan turned heads in her skintight black dress though I spotted her changed into pants and a sexy top when she made her way into the show with Samantha right behind. We didn't get to see Ashlee Simpson on the red carpet, but I did spot her sneaking in the side entrance to the show right after Pete — I will say that baby bump is huge and she is positively glowing. Bar Refaeli looked stunning though was happier to talk to us about her girls' vacation in St Tropez than when a reporter asked her about Leo's whereabouts. Nicky Hilton told us she was excited for the show after deciding last minute to come and wore an Open Ceremony dress while Taylor Swift is just the sweetest thing ever. She's so pretty, poised and polite.

Also on the red carpet were the ladies of The Hills — Lauren Conrad looked great mixing it up from her usual while Heidi was attached to Spencer even when they had to sip champagne waiting to be let in to the packed auditorium. Of course, Heidi and Spencer were happy to talk to the press and Britney was the topic on everyone's mind. They were excited for this to be the best VMAs ever starting with Britney's opening moment. Jennifer Garner worked out on Saturday before spending her Sunday out in LA with a bearded Ben and big girl Violet. The trio stopped for lunch at the Giggles N Hugs restaurant and as usual Violet looked like the happiest kid in Hollywood. Besides her growing family, Jen has another reason to be smiling right alongside her daughter — her participation in Friday night's Stand Up To Cancer telethon helped the event raise over $100 million for their cause.

They may not get to be as colorful, but the men managed to keep things interesting at the VMAs. Chris Brown was a stand out having a blast on the red carpet handing out hugs to all his friends he ran into along the way like Lupe Fiasco who was gearing up for his big performance. Chris Brown's performance last year still has people gushing, but the topic of the night was Britney. Everyone was super excited to see her hit the stage again, well, other than Kid Rock who made it very clear that's not why he was looking forward to the show. In fact, he told us he was most excited just to see which performers lip-synced versus actually singing.

Brody Jenner and Frankie Delgado schmoozed their way down the press line while Cisco Adler and Schwayze talked a big game about their secret upcoming movie project and their crazy summer touring. Perhaps the loudest screams came near the end of the red carpet when Michael Phelps showed up, though sadly he didn't have time before the show to make it down the whole press line.

Justin, Beyonce, Rihanna, and Charlize are just a few of the A-list celebs that came out to Condé Nast's Fashion Rocks concert at Radio City Music Hall on Friday night. The annual event helps kicks off NY Fashion Week and this year it also helped support Stand Up To Cancer. Beyonce debuted her $5 million 18-karat engagement ring before taking the stage in dazzling gold to perform with JT. Rihanna rocked a feather headdress while showing off her long legs on stage and Mariah Carey brought Nick to watch her perform. We had the chance to interview many of the celebrities on the red carpet, including Chris Brown, which you can read after the jump.
