Instead of heading to Canada to join Brad Pitt at the Toronto Film Festival, George Clooney spent the weekend working in Milan. Brad held down the fort at the red carpet premiere of Burn After Reading as dapper George was in all black filming a new Japanese Honda commercial in the Italian city on Sunday. He kept things lighthearted on set playing with the cameras and entertaining the ladies who kept his suit looking perfect. While it sounds like we won't be seeing this ad on our TVs, it's the perfect break from all the star studded red carpets this weekend getting to see handsome George dressed up all by himself.

Harlow Madden may be too young for coffee, but that doesn't mean she couldn't have some fun making a toy out of a plastic cup while mom Nicole got her cool drink in NYC this morning. With Harlow in her sundress and Nicole looking hot in short shorts, the girls enjoyed the steamy late Summer day in Manhattan. Last night Joel hit the stage at a VMA afterparty in LA — more on that later — and it looks like his two favorite girls are having just as much fun all the way across the country. Nicole smiled pretty at the Donna Karan show this weekend, but nothing beats seeing this twosome out together.

Not everyone headed West for the 25th anniversary of the VMAs, and those that didn't turned out for Calvin Klein's 40th anniversary party at Along the Highline in NYC last night. Halle Berry and Gabriel got a babysitter for baby Nahla to get all prettied up to celebrate with the designer. Claire Danes, quickly back from TIFF, looked beautiful and was joined by a gorgeously glowing pregnant Naomi Watts. Jessica and Leighton continue to make their mark during Fashion Week, doing their best to attend every event possible. Sexy Eva Mendes wore a low cut green dress, and Brooke and Lindsay laughed in matching black and white. We chatted with Lindsay at the Saks Ruby Slipper event where she revealed she thinks she has the "best wardrobe on TV."

Britney Spears was greeted with cheers of excitement, which must have boosted her confidence before finally scoring her first VMA. The good luck kept coming as she took home three moonmen last night! Britney was "speechless" but then added, "Oh, my goodness, thank you! I first wanna thank God for blessing me like this. My family ... my two beautiful boys for inspiring me everyday." At the end of the show, Russell called it "the resurrection of Britney Spears" which we couldn't agree with more. This weekend was busy between TIFF, VMAs and Stand Up 2 Cancer, but many celebs still found time to sit front row at their favorite designers shows to start picking out their new wardrobe and red carpet picks. John Legend and Mary-Kate sat front row at Rock and Republic, while Eva Longoria and Jennifer Lopez sat a seat away from one another in the front row of Diane Von Furstenberg where sexy sixties style beauty looks were strutting down the catwalk. Lindsay Lohan and Samantha were out to enjoy the Ronson family affair that included cool-girl chic beauty looks while Winona Ryder and Christina Ricci smiled big at Donna Karan.

Nicole Richie was also at DK looking adorable as she posed with the designer after the show. At the DVF show yellow was the hot color, which Rosario Dawson glowed in as well as Leighton Meester who was sharing the love with her also yellow wearing co-star Jessica Szohr. Leighton was everywhere during Fashion Week but looked especially beautiful in pink at the Julie Haus show. Ellen Pompeo sat front row at Y-3 and of course who can resist a little Anderson Cooper who also attended DVF (supposedly the most star studded show so far). Finally, Charlize was already spotted wearing red carpet attire to Fashion Rocks on Friday from the Rag and Bone's show earlier that day. Must be nice!
